Welcome to the July issue of Net Author's E2K.

Net Author's Annual Flash Fiction Contest. If you missed last month's announcement of the contest winners, don't fret; we're listing them below for you, and you'll find the Second Place Winner--Marian Allen's "Prodigal"--in this month's issue.

  • First Prize, $100: "Blind Leading," by Carlos Hernandez
  • Second Prize, $50: "Prodigal," by Marian Allen
  • Third Runner-up, $25: "Lessons in the Afternoon," by Lynn Bey
  • Fourth Runner-up, $25: "Morbid Like Sunshine," by Lucy A. E. Ward
  • Fifth Runner-up, $25: "Blue," by Debi Orton

Remember, we'll be printing each of the stories in successive issues. Next month you'll see Lynn Bey's "Lessons in the Afternoon." Lucy Ward's story will appear in the September issue, and Debi Orton's will close out the series in October. (If you happen to miss one of the stories, check out the Archives.)
